Here’s an idea for the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB)!

The EPSB are the National Governing Body for snooker in England whose objectives include to “promote, administer, encourage and popularise the development of, and inclusive participation in, the sports in England

This was a post on X by one of the top referees, Jan Verhaas, showing kids in China having a ‘lesson’ at a snooker event.

There are many World Snooker Tour (WST) events in England where the EPSB could arrange for local schools to attend, between sessions, to have a ‘lesson’ in what snooker is all about.

Maybe get a star or two to help, or maybe a top coach, to show the kids how the game is played and how they can get involved.

Give them a list of local clubs and especially ones with junior sessions.

There must be loads of great ideas to help get the kids interested in giving snooker a try.

Steve Dawson, the CEO of WST, said on their YouTube channel recently that WST’s main marketing strategy was to use Social Media.

Social media is a part of any marketing strategy of course, but to get the game in front of kids who are maybe still too young for social media, would be a great advert!
