English Amateur Championship v Northern Snooker Centre Pro-Am

This weekend sees three qualifying events for the English Amateur Championship being played on Saturday, and then the Northern Snooker Centre Pro-Am will be played on Sunday.

There were 151 entries for the English Amateur with 63 at Leeds.

It will be interesting to see how many are at the Pro-Am on Sunday.

Hard to know what influences decisions about which to play, but it does seem like the Pro-Am is more popular than the English Amateur.

  • Did the EPSB do enough to market the English Amateur?
  • Is there enough of a reward for winning it?
  • Should the whole event be played over the one weekend?
  • Are there not enough players who are members of the EPSB?

What are your thoughts?

If you would like to say, but don’t want your name published, that’s fine by me.
