In March 2020, Hill won the European Under-21 Snooker Championship, earning him a two-year tour card to compete on the World Snooker Tour for the 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 seasons.

2020–2021 season

At the start of the 2020–2021 campaign, Hill made a successful start at the European Masters in September, reaching the last 16, where he lost 1–5 to Yan Bingtao. On 24 September, in the second round, he defeated reigning World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan 5–4.

2021-2022 season

Aaron had a more successful 2021-2022 season. At the British Open in August, he lost 3-0 to snooker veteran Jimmy White in the first round.

Despite failing to qualify for the Northern Ireland Open, English Open, Scottish Open, German Masters and European Masters, Hill showed confidence and persistence in the second half of the campaign.

Aaron made his first appearance at the UK Championship, losing 6-2 to Noppon Saengkham in the first round. His debut appearance at the Shoot Out ended in defeat in the last 32 against the more experienced and skilled Mark Williams with a score of 89-4. In the first round, he beat Lee Walker 50-8, making a break of 50 points. In the 1/32 finals, Hill defeated Jackson Page 27-26.

The Irishman made his second appearance at the European Masters tournament, where he lost in the first round to Fan Zhengyi 5-3. At the first ranking tournament in Antalya, the Turkish Masters, he was defeated by Wu Yize 5-0, also in the first round. At the Gibraltar Open, Hill reached the 1/16 finals for the first time, but Ding Junhui ended the match with a score of 4-1 in his favour.

The Irish snooker player faced disappointment at the World Championship, losing 6-4 to amateur Liam James Davis in the first qualifying round. At the end of the season, Aaron rose to 93rd place in the world rankings, earning £26,500.

The talented young snooker player from Sheffield made his debut in the 2011-2012 season and proved himself to be a very promising player.

In 2005, Duffy was a member of the England junior team. In 2007, he reached the playoffs of the European Championship but lost in the round of 32. In 2009, Adam took part in the World 6-Red Championship, where he reached the quarter-finals, beating renowned players Dave Harold and Ken Doherty. In the same year, Adam received the Paul Hunter Scholarship.

In 2011, thanks to his victory in the final round of the 3rd Q School qualifying tournament, the Englishman turned professional and earned the right to compete in the main tour the following season.

2011-2012 season

Duffy had a successful first professional season in 2011-2012 and immediately broke into the 62nd spot in the rankings. He played in three qualifying rounds of the UK Championship and the World Championship.

2012-2013 season

Adam Duffy had an unsuccessful 2012-2013 season, losing his first six matches and winning only four qualifying rounds in ranking tournaments and two matches in the Players Tour Championship. He finished 108th in the PTC Order of Merit and 60th in the world rankings.

2013–2014 season

In the 2013-2014 season, Duffy started with a 5–2 victory over Tony Drago, qualifying for the 2013 Wuxi Classic in China. However, he lost 5–3 to Lu Ning in the first round. At the UK Championship, Adam defeated Barry Pinches 6–5 in the first round and advanced to the second round, where he faced reigning World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and lost 6–3. At the end of the season, Duffy dropped 31 places to 91st in the world rankings, falling out of the tour. The Englishman was forced to go to Q School in an attempt to regain his place on the professional circuit. In Event 2, he won two matches but lost to Lee Walker 4–3.

2014-2015 season

In the 2014-2015 campaign, Adam played in all Euro Tour tournaments, and thanks to his high Q School ranking, he was also able to participate in several ranking tournaments. At the Paul Hunter Classic, Duffy defeated Ryan Day and Gerard Greene 4–3 before losing to Fergal O’Brien 4–0 in the last 32. He qualified for the Indian Open by defeating Jack Lisowski 4–2. In the first round, Duffy defeated Gary Wilson 4–3 to book his place in the second round, where he lost to world number six Judd Trump 4–3 in a three-hour match. The English snooker player achieved his first major success at the World Championship. He defeated Martin Gould 10–6 in the first qualifying round and won seven of the last eight frames in the second round against Sam Baird to finish the match 10–7 in his favour. In the next round, Duffy faced Jamie Jones but lost 10–8. Jones had been playing on the tour all season, while Duffy’s opportunities had been limited due to his amateur status. In Event 1 of Q School, Adam reached the quarter-finals against Eden Sharava, making breaks of 107, 93 and 70 points, but unexpectedly lost 4–3.
