The same two players reached the final of Saturday’s Woking Snooker Centre weekend handicap tournament.
Jean-Marc Bancilhon and Amjad Hussain were not the surprising finalists this time around, with Jean-Marc edging Hussain 3 – 2 in a decider. Exactly the same scoreline.
Now, three players have reached a final and won it twice. They are Woking Snooker Centre’s top player Paul Jackson and top amateur player Ryan Mears, and, of course, Jean-Marc.
A new sponsor comes into play for the next four weeks as promotional product creator brand OnBrand Merchandise sponsor the high break this time of £50.
Mears claimed the second high break of 82 over the four weeks and scooped the high break prize sponsored by the second company Markenfield Decorators.
It was first sponsored by this snooker site SnookerZone.co.uk when the event began way back in July after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.
Peter Ruddick said that towards the end of the year, there could be a big scratch tournament for the top players of both Woking and Frames Academy in Coulsdon and Sovereign Snooker Club in Farnborough with an even bigger prize pot for those top players.
