Ryan Mears and Matt Ford, along with other members and non members, have all said that the Club Manager Peter Ruddick has been doing a great job. He’s been transforming the club over the past months after the chaos of lockdowns and a pandemic.
These improvements include re-covering and maintaining tables regularly, introducing new artwork for the bar area and a new car parking sign – among other tweaks. These are in addition to introducing regular handicap tournaments.
And there’s more to come.
Ryan Mears, who has won two of Woking’s new handicap events put on since July, said:
“James Cullen (a regular) told me about all the improvements a month or 2 back. It’s recognisable in terms of looks but not with how things are run there. Pete has done an amazing job from what I’ve seen already!
He added:
I get the feeling too that this is just the start to a new beginning for Woking Snooker.”
Matt Ford, who’s also returned to Woking for their events, said:
“The tables played great and I look forward to playing there more often in the league and supporting tournaments that are held there!”
