An exciting new event is coming to Woking in 2023

Woking Snooker Centre will host its first Pro Am in years.

Entries have already been flying in for this new addition to what will be a jam-packed year for the rejuvenated Surrey club.

January sees the World Disability snooker team return to the club for the first time since 2016.

Then there’s also the Cuestars tournaments which have been going down a storm. The recent Cuestars Seniors event held there had a record number of entries with 47.

And in February, an Under-18 coaching day for girls will be held by two top coaches and the Woking snooker star resident Jasmine Bolsover, who has also expressed interest in the Pro Am, as has her friend the current women’s world number six, Emma Parker.

Several members have already signed up as registration is now open.

There is going to be tough opposition for sure from all angles!

Any professionals who enter the event will give a 21 start to amateurs and the event is likely to be streamed so by signing up you consent to that.

The event will be run by passionate snooker man Terry T, who will be the tournament director, and he is back from a spell out of supporting the local amateur game.

He said his passion was to get the club back to running as many tournaments like Pro Ams in future.

Terry ran tournaments at the club back in 2015.

ProAms are a great way for players of all abilities to test their games against the best players and to improve their games.
