Judd Trump has claimed top spot in the European Series rankings table after three of the six events.

Trump got the better of Jack Lisowski 9-2 in the German Masters final on Sunday to pick up a £80,000 cheque for victory, which brought his total for the European Series up to £120,500.

That put him £32,500 in front of second placed Mark Selby, with three events still to come in the series. Those include the BetVictor Shoot Out, Welsh Open and the Gibraltar Open, with the player who tops the rankings at the end of the series winning a £150,000 bonus.

Trump did enough to win that bonus last year and has already opened up a sizable gap at the top of the leaderboard, which gives him a great chance to follow up on the bonus in 2021.

One Year Rankings List

Trump has also opened up an advantage at the table in the one-year ranking list. He has clocked up earnings of £450,000 from ranking events so far this season and leads Neil Robertson, who’s in second place by an eye watering £204,500.

That table is used to decide the entries for the Players Championship, which will take place for February 22nd until 28th. In terms of qualification for the top 16 in the draw, that means there are only two events left to come with the BetVictor Shoot Out followed by the Welsh Open.

As for the German Masters, Lisowski’s runner-up berth earned him a prize of £35,000 and pushed him up to fourth place in the rankings from sixth spot. Tom Ford, who made the semi-finals got his hands on £20,000 which helped to catapulte him up to 20th in the rankings, while fellow semi-finalists Barry Hawkins jumped up to 8th place from 12th.

In terms of the quarter finals, Jordan Brown got to that stage for the first time in a ranking event and leapfrogged up to 33rd in the rankings from 49th spot. Anthony McGill is also currently in the qualification bubble in 16th, with a prize pool of £44,000.

Two Year Rankings List

If you thought the rankings list was already hard enough to get your head around, then wait until you hear about the official two-year list. Currently, there are seven players that are in the top 16 of the one-year list, but are outside of the top 16 in the two-year list.

Those include the likes of Yan Bingtao, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen, Mark Williams and Stephen Maguire, who are all currently outside the top 16 so will need to put in a good performance to boost their standings in the next two events.

That same list will be used to decide who will qualify for the Tour Championship from March 22nd to 28th, where only the top eight in the rankings will qualify. On the two-year list, Judd Trump can look at that with even more pride, as he also sits top of the tree with a massive £894,000 prize pot. Robertson is currently second, while Lisowski’s final visit moved him up to 11th.

World Snooker Championships

In the race to the Crucible for the World Snooker Championships, there are six events remaining for players to get that spot at the world famous tournament. Zhou Yuelong is 15th on the list at the minute and on course to be seeded for the first time, but there is only £26,750 between him and Stuart Bingham in 22nd place, so there is set to be plenty of competitive snooker played in the next few weeks.

In the betting for the World Snooker Championship at freebets.com, not only are there plenty of promotions and odds boosts to get your hands on, but Judd Trump is an early favourite at odds of 3/1. He is closely followed by Ronnie O’Sullivan at 24/5, with Mark Selby well fancied at around 7/1 with most betting firms, while Neil Robertson can be picked up at 13/2 with some bookies.
