The long-awaited WPBSA Q Tour starts today.

Taking over from the not very successful Challenge Tour, the Q Tour is being billed as the “premier qualifying circuit to the World Snooker Tour”.

Two places on the World Snooker Tour for the next two seasons are on offer.

There will be four tournaments held from November 2021 to March 2022, with the top ranked player at the end of the season guaranteed to earn a two-year tour card. There will also be a play-off tournament run with 16 players, where the winner will also earn their place on the tour.

The first event is at the Castle Snooker Club in Brighton.
