


Three regional qualifying events were held on Saturday 7 October to establish the last 16
The English Amateur Snooker Championship is the longest running snooker competition in the world having started in 1916.
Organised by the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) and sponsored for 2024 by the Landywood Snooker Club, Walsall, the event is seen by many as the most prestigious domestic honour for amateur snooker players in England.
There was a very healthy entry of 174 players with the qualifiers from each region being selected by a series of knockout events on a proportional basis.
Each individual section had 10 or 11 players with the winner qualifying for the finals.
The venues for the qualifiers were –
North – Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds – 7 qualifiers

* Callum Downing had the highest break over all 3 events with a 117 in the deciding frame of the final to beat defending champion Paul Deaville. Callum was 3-0 down!
South – Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon – 5 qualifiers
