Day 2 of the World Snooker Championships Qualifiers

8 Amateurs were competing on Day 2

Sanderson Lam won the Northern Snooker Centre derby match – beating Peter Lines.

Daniel Wells took the last two frames to beat Chang Bingyu in the decider.

Lee Stephens lost out to Barry Pinches in a long match which started with the first two frames taking 2 hours 30 mins!

David Lilley and James Cahill had impressive wins over Craig Steadman and Jamie O’Neil respectively.

Round 1 of the Qualifiers finishes today and Round 2 begins.

There will be 7 amateurs in the last of the Round 1 matches including Rebecca Kenna who will be starting next season as a professional on the World Snooker Tour.

Robbie McGuigan plays in round 2 this evening.
