Ng On Yee has withdrawn from the British Open, almost certainly on the advice of the Hong Kong authorities, handing a spot to amateur Mark Lloyd.

Lloyd has been given the place courtesy of being the next in line on the Q School Order of Merit and will face David Grace in the first round.

There is now a total of 12 amateurs in the event and On Yee’s withdrawal leaves Reanne Evans as the lone female player in the tournament. No doubt On Yee will join her as soon as she possibly can.
