All 3 of the amateurs in action yesterday, won their matches!

Liam Davies continues his fantastic run by beating Fergal O’Brien in a late night decider. The pair were taken off in the morning at 5-4 to Davies. Fergal predicatibly took the match to a decider but Liam held his nerve move into Round 3. Just 2 wins away from a place at the Crucible! Jordan Brown is Liam’s next opponent.

Fergal O’Brien will now have to consider Q School if he wants to regain his place on the main tour.

Michael White and David Lilley had good wins over Martin O’Donnell and Robbie Williams.

White and Lilley are also in a scrap for a place on next season’s main tour via the one-year list.

There are a growing number of players now facing Q School and you can see the live blog from the WPBSA here: https://wpbsa.com/world-championship-2022-tour-survival-blog/
