The third event of the 2021/22 WPBSA Q Tour starts on Friday 28 January with the open qualification phase.

The venue for this event is The Winchester Snooker Club, in Leicester.

On Friday, the number of players will be reduced to 16 who will join the 48 with automatic qualification for the weekend.

The automatic places for the weekend go to the top 40 from the Q School Order of Merit and the 8 next highest placed under 21s.

There’s a prize pot of £12,000 for each event, which cost £50 to enter.

The top ranked player at the end of the 4-event series will earn a two-year place on the World Snooker Tour as a professional snooker player.

Also, the next 16 ranked players will take part in a play-off with another place on the tour to be offered to the winner.

For this event there were 114 players listed on the snookerscores.net site, but 3 players didn’t play for whatever reason. Three rounds would be used to whittle down the entrants to the last 16.
