COVID
The Event will run under full COVID-19 testing, policies and procedures,
All players will receive an Antigen COVID-19 Test on the morning of play.
Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 by PCR test should be exempt from routine re-testing by PCR or antigen tests within a period of 90 days from their initial illness onset or test, provided they are currently asymptomatic. This is because fragments of inactive virus can be persistently detected in respiratory tract samples following infection – long after a person has completed their isolation period and is no longer infectious. If you have proof of a positive COVID test by PCR within 90 days of your testing date you should inform us and provide the documentation.
We are aware some players may have already received either one or both vaccinations but this does not make them exempt from the testing for this event.
Guests
No guests will be allowed on site during play, medical carers may be allowed with a doctor’s note.
Ranking points
A ranking point will be earned for every frame won at the event.
Bubble
Players will attend between 8am and 9am for their COVID-19 Test, once they enter the ‘bubble’ they are not allowed to leave it until the conclusion of their days play where they will ‘exit’ the bubble. Players are permitted outside for fresh air within the grounds of the venue. Players who breach or exit the bubble without express permission from the tournament director cannot re-enter the bubble and will be removed from the event and lose their entry fee. Hot meals will once again be provided on site from 8am.
Non playing days
Players are not permitted to enter the bubble unless they have returned a negative COVID-19 test that morning. Players should only be on site on the day they play and the finals day if they qualify.
Practice Tables
There will be no designated practice tables on site, however between 9am and 9.30 all players will be allocated a 15-minute slot to practice. Also, when tables are not in use for an extended time, we may release them for solo practice.
Top Up
The organiser reserves the right to top up from a reserve list for any withdrawals that occur after the draw and before the first day’s play. The player offered the ‘top up’ will be in order from a reserve list and they will not know in advance the names of the other players in their group. Should a player withdraw during the event for any reason all their previous results would be void.
