This series nicely compliments the other major Pro-Am series, the LiteTask series, and means that there are two top quality events in the city most months. At the last LiteTask event, young Sean Maddocks caused a bit of a stir by knocking in a 147. Claims are in for Sean to be the youngest player on record to achieve a max in an open aged tournament.
David Grace is the main man behind this series and is seen by many as the leading light in the amateur snooker scene at the moment. When asked on Twitter recently about dress code for the event, David replied “No dress code wear owt…”. No doubt this influenced many to turn up as there were, despite the sunshine, 87 entrants at the last event.
