Proud Welshman Andrew Pagett

Andrew Pagett, the former professional from Wales, beat Finland’s Heikki Niva 5-2 in the final and, with the title, earns a 2-year tour card for the WST.

The win also means that Andrew won’t have to compete in the Challenge Tour play-off and could give a spot to Jake Nicholson.

Aaron Hill successfully defended his Under 18 title by beating Sean Maddocks 4-1 in the final. Hill and Maddocks also earn places in the World Championship qualifying rounds this April in Sheffield.

Hill then went on to win the Under 21 title as well, beating Hayden Staniland 5-2 in the final. Hill’s “bonus” for winning this one is a 2 year place on the World Snooker Tour starting next season. A fantastic achievement indeed!
