The Women’s Festival of Snooker has rightly been postponed due to concerns for the health of the players and officials.

The health and well-being of our players and officials is of paramount importance to us and we hope that all concerned will understand the decision that has been reached.

So why not the WST events?

Do the players in the Tour Championship and the World Championship not deserve the same concern?

Are these events too important or too costly to postpone?

Are the players less likely to contract or even spread CV?

Are TV deals more important than the health of players and support staff?

Some players, fans and anyone else associated with the events may be unable to attend due to travel restrictions.

World Snooker Limited needs to get off it’s high horse, bite the bullet and postpone events until things have settled down.
