Breakers Snooker Club in Leicester, home to current professional Ben Woollaston, are holding a “Q School Entry Fee Tournament” on Sunday 5th April.
The World Snooker Tour (WST) will be holding their annual Q School soon after the World Championship, which finishes on the 4th May. The dates and format for Q School are yet to be confirmed.
Entry to Q School is £1000 and could well be financially difficult, if not impossible, for some very good amateur snooker players.
Breakers hold this annual event to enable one player to win their Q School entry fee for just £40.
All the snooker tables will be re-covered for this event.
The closing date for entries is the 10th March and the draw will be done on Facebook prior to the event. All entries will be notified of the details.
Last year Fraser Patrick won this event and went on to secure his place on the Main Tour via Q School Event 2.
Breakers hold regular snooker tournaments including the Malcolm Thorne Handicap Series.
