World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) will support Group 8 player David Grant at the 2022 British Transplant Games.

The WDBS said:

Set to be held in Leeds next summer, the Games have been held for over 40 years and include over 25 sports including snooker. The Games have previously been supported by four-time world champion John Higgins when they were held in Scotland in 2017.

Grant, who last August received a successful kidney transplant having been diagnosed with final stage kidney failure three years earlier, has targeted an appearance at the Games with the aspiration of taking a medal back to Edinburgh.

As part of our commitment to disability snooker and our support of players to compete in recognised external competitions, we are proud to be able to support David’s participation at the Games, which were originally scheduled to take place this year prior to the global pandemic.
