A high quality final, predicted by many, saw Kieran (a 6-Reds veteran), lock antlers with (6-Red debutant) Lewis.
Giving away a handicap of 10 points didn’t really spoil Kieran’s flow, taking the first frame 47-21.
Frame 2 saw Lewis find his scoring boots running out 35-11 to level up this intriguing final 1-1.
Frame 3 saw Lewis try his hardest to put the shutters up, closing out Kieran for much of the frame and taking it, despite a valiant fight back by Kieran 65-36.
Frame 4 was a cagey affair and the nerves, from both players, were clearly jangling – with Lewis, eventually, running out the victor 42-23 and taking a hard fought match 3-1
Well done Lewis and Kieran for a great final!
Thanks to all 16 players who took part in 6-Reds challenge 3 especially my 7 year old student Fabian, who gave a great account of himself under pressure in an adult tournament.
