Round 1 of Q School 2021 Event 2 produced what is probably the most celebrated result of the round.
Rebecca Kenna produced a 92 break to take the deciding frame against John Pritchett. No disrespect to Pritchett, but Kenna’s win made the headline for the WST report. Kenna faces Phil O’Kane in the next round.
Headline maker of Event 1, veteran Tony Knowles, fell at the first this time with a 4-1 defeat to Kishan Hirani.
WDBS player Peter Geronimo put in an impressive performance, only losing in the decider to Stevie Baillie.
A couple of high profile youngsters were in action too. Westley Cooper lost out 4-2 to Luke Simmonds but Stan Moody impressed with a 4-0 win over Johnnie Bates.

Round 1 will be completed today and then Round 2 starts this evening. Michael White will be back in action facing Richard Wienold of Germany.
