Jackson Page, Peter Lines, Fraser Patrick and Yuan Sijun all “bounced back” to the main tour
Seven of the last 8 were players looking to make an immediate return to the main tour after being relegated last season. The question asked by many relates to whether or not those relegated players should be seeded. Some even suggest they shouldn’t be playing at Q School at all.
But for now we have to make do with “the madness that is Q School” and just hope and pray that World Snooker see sense and look at a better way – which there is of course.
The four losers, Michael Georgiou, Ian Burns, Bai Langning and Mitchell Mann, will take solace in knowing that they lead the Order of Merit where another two main tour cards are on offer. This list will also be used to top up ranking events where there are less than 128 entries.
