Lets face it, it surely can’t get much worse!

As we kick off 2021 there’s not a lot of amateur snooker to look forward to. But there is one major event taking place next week, the World Seniors Qualifying School.

World Seniors Qualifying School

There’s actually 4 events as qualifiers –

  • 2021 ROKiT Phones World Seniors Snooker Championship – Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, 6-9 May, 2021 (two qualification places available)
  • 2021 ROKiT Phones UK Seniors Snooker Championship – Bonus Arena, Hull, 12-15 August, 2021 (four qualification places available)
  • ROKiT Phones World Seniors Masters – venue and date to be confirmed (one qualification place available)
  • and the Super Seniors

You can see the draws, and follow the scoring when the events start, on the following link

The events all take place at the Crucible Sports and Social Club in Reading.

We will bring you news as and when but it might be difficult with it being a closed venue due to COVID restrictions.

ABC Snooker Exhibitions have a couple of events booked, details of which you can see here

Other than that, I guess we are waiting for the vaccine to be rolled out and then we can only wait and see as to how and when restrictions are lifted.

The message then will once again be “please support your club”. The club owners are facing an extremely difficult time and will be relying on the support of members once they can open up again.
