John Whitty secured his place in the last eight with a 4-0 victory over John Welsh whilst Ant Jeffers and Steve McGuinness progressed to the latter stages with hard working victories over Paul Ellis and Danny Crawford respectively.
Wayne Brown won all his three matches to set up a titanic clash with John Whitty, while Ste McGuinness will play Clayton Humphries, who only conceded one frame in his three matches to set up his last eight match with Ste McGuinness.
