David Lilley is in only his third event but having won the last one is in contention for one of the two tour cards. He might be now regretting his decision not to play in events 2, 3 and 4.
Barry Pinches won on the deciding frame leaving Page without any ranking points this time
David Lilley also lost out in the first round. A very good result for John Foster beating Lilley 3-1.
In Round 2 Steven Hallworth received a walk over from Jake Nicholson. Hallworth seen by many to be favourite to at least get to the final.
Ben Hancorn, ranked 15 at the start of the day was drawn against Jamie O’Neill, ranked 16 and it was Hancorn that prevailed in a decider.
Patrick Whelan won 3-1 over a very capable Farakh Ajaib.

Of two guys who fell of the main tour last season, David Grace prevailed in the decider against Christopher Keogan to complete the second round.
We now move into the quarter finals with Steven Hallworth still looking favourite in the top half while the bottom half has Mitchell Mann and David Grace still fighting.
Steven Hallworth bows out 3-2 to Ben Hancorn while Peter Devlin takes out Oliver Brown 3-0
