Snooker continues at Preston Guild Hall with the European Masters Qualifiers and once again there is plenty amateur interest.
The top performers from Q School that didn’t make it on to the tour, are invited to make up the 128 for the first round.
There are 6 amateurs taking part this time –
On Day 1
Dechawat Poomjaeng lost 4-2 to Andrew Higginson
Simon Bedford lost 4-2 to Alan Taylor
On Day 2
Andy Hicks lost 4-1 to Fergal O’Brien
David Lilley lost 4-3 to Mark Allen
Adam Duffy beat Simon Lichtenberg 4-0
James Cahill lost 4-3 to Chris Totten
So once again there was just the one amateur to qualify. Adam Duffy will play Jak Jones in Belgium.
Next up is the China Championship qualifiers. But the prize money in this one is a lot better so there are no amateur top up spots available.
