This is a message from Jason Francis regarding the 2nd European Open Qualifier in Brugge, Belgium

Dear All,

Firstly thank you to you all for supporting the first World Seniors Tour event in Belgium, to see so many new players on the tour from our host country as well as Netherlands, France and even the UAE is fantastic. You are all welcome and part of our family. I have no doubt you will make some great friends moving forward.

Please find attached the draw and format for World Seniors European Open 2 to be staged at the Snooker Palace in Brugge on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August.

We have 48 entries so with the top 16 who have entered on the ranking list being placed into position it means 32 others will play the extra round to meet a seed.

The club address is

Snooker Palace, Noordzandstraat 4, 8000 Brugge, Belgium

Our host is Thomas Hinderyckx (Luc)

If you have not already ordered your shirt then do so now please as without it you cannot play in the event.

If you are not a member of your national federation you must ensure you are by Thursday 17th August.

The format of the European Open is best of 5 with no deciding frame respot – hence the need to consider this with match start times.

The format is NOT PLAYED IN NUMERICAL ORDER. This is important and you need to study it. I know we have multiple languages at this event so if in doubt email me and ask when your first match is.

I will arrive in Brugge late Thursday afternoon, if you are in the town lets meet at the club for 19.00 hours and I can set up a Uk players v Rest of Europe as a warm up and to everyone having some practice.

I look forward to a truly wonderful event with you all. If anyone would like to purchase an official world seniors cue towel they will be 10 euros in Brugge but you need to order them with me to bring. My book is also 10 euro for those who have time to waste between matches!!

Our final European Qualifier in Northampton is getting very full so I cannot guarantee that we will still have places to enter after Brugge. It’s important if you want to be sure to enter now.

Kind regards

Jason
