The first event in the new World Seniors Snooker Tour took place over the weekend of 21 and 22 July and was held at the Northwest Snooker Centre in Letterkenny, Ireland.Sean Lanigan was the winner and he will now take his place in the final in October alongside some of snooker’s legends. Full details of the final to follow.
There were 24 entrants for this event so the top 8 from last year’s rankings were seeded through to the last 16. However, there were 4 no shows.
Lanigan beat Michael Judge 3-1 in the final and as well as his place in the final he scooped the €1000 winner’s prize.
